Wu Di, Senior Analyst at the Institute of Energy, Peking University, provided a systematic overview of Chinaโ€™s energy transition and highlighted applications such as generation forecasting, grid dispatch optimisation and intelligent energy system management.

๐Ÿ”นPanel Discussion: Commercialisation in AI ร— Energy

The panel noted that the energy industryโ€™s high requirements for safety and reliability present challenges for AI deployment. Successful applications require the coordination of computing power, algorithms, data, real-world scenarios, and organisational capability.

The speakers also advised early-stage startups to begin with clear ROI-driven applications, focus on specific industry scenarios and connect early with industrial partners.
